Beyond Stainless Steel: Engineering a Culture of Safety & Innovation

Safety doesn’t happen by chance

Building a culture of safety is not easy...and here is how...

It demands a strong mandate from the top management.

It requires participation from everyone, at every level, at every occasion.

It can also benefit from effective use of modern technologies to compensate human limitations.

But even with all the above, accidents can still happen.

That is why creating a safe working environment is always a continuous journey of learning, improvement, and vigilance.

Good thing is you are never alone on this journey.

Many manufacturing and precision engineering companies are equally committed to strengthening workplace safety, with support and guidance readily available from Workplace Safety and Health Council

While the actual operating environment may differ, best practices from one organisation can often be adapted and applied effectively in another.

And when done right, having a safe work environment also helps to attract and retain talent.

With all that in mind, SPETA in collaboration with WSHC, organised a learning journey to HH Group to gain rich insights into how they build their safety culture while leveraging on technology and innovation.

Thank you to everyone who attended the session, especially management from WSHC - Man Ee Tan, Winston Yew, and management of HHS -Chui Heng Low, Eric Low, Terence Low, Daniel Low.

Hope everyone walked away with new insights and also a deeper appreciation for a safe working environment.

Clearly, it is not by accident. :)
